CommonWatch

CommonWatch (Two Rivers Digital, Winnipeg)

CommonWatch is built for police records units on Microsoft Power Platform. Police exemptions under MFIPPA s. 8, s. 14 and s. 38 are one click on the review desk, records held by another service transfer under s. 18, a different person approves every release, and releases are rebuilt from page images so hidden text never leaves. Staff sign in with their Microsoft account, and it runs in your Microsoft tenant or is hosted by Two Rivers Digital in Canadian regions.

It is new: submitted to Microsoft Marketplace in October 2026, with no published police customers yet. Product screens use a fictional police service. See what CommonWatch includes.

How to decide

Five questions to put to every vendor.

  • Show us an occurrence report request from intake to release, using the police exemption codes we apply most.
  • How do you handle a request for records that belong to another police service?
  • Can the person who prepared a release also approve it? What stops them?
  • Where exactly are our records hosted, and who at your company can see them?
  • Which Ontario or Canadian police services use the product today, and may we call one?
